The Toyota Yaris Cross is up to 2nd place in Serbia in November. CE Auto data indicates a Serbian new car market up 14.2% year-on-year in November to 2,538 units. The year-to-date tally is now up 5.8% to 33,263. The Skoda Octavia (+44%) tops the models charts and ascends to the YTD pole position in the process, edging past the Toyota Corolla (+144.9%). The Toyota Yaris Cross (+270.6%) surges up to #2, its best Serbian ranking since June 2024. Five Skodas follow: the Karoq, Superb, Kamiq, Fabia and Kodiaq. The Fiat Panda ranks #9. The Jetour X50 is up to #3 in Moldova in November. Based on data by our local partner CE Auto , the Moldovan new car market surges 54.3% year-on-year in November to 1,444 units. This way, the year-to-date volume is now up 24.5% to 11,260. The Toyota RAV4 (+114.5%) cements its newfound YTD pole position with an excellent month at 8.2% share vs. 5.5% so far this year. The Kia Sportage (+10.7%) remains in 2nd place. Data shared with us by our local partner CE Auto , new car sales in North Macedonia progress 1.7% year-on-year in November to 540 units, leading to a year-to-date volume down -3.8% to 6,374. The Skoda Kamiq (+140%) holds onto the top spot and now also ranks #1 year-to-date, equal with the Skoda Octavia (-45.2%) down to #6 for the month. Chevrolet holds 15.2% of the Uruguayan market in November. New light vehicle sales in Uruguay are off -1.1% year-on-year in November to 6,272 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 9.4% to 62,278. After lodging its first win of the year last month, Chevrolet (+7.4%) repeats at #1, reaching 15.2% share which is the carmaker’s best since December 2024. However Chevrolet remains stuck in third place year-to-date with volumes down -24.2%. Fiat (-30.6%) is in deep trouble in 2nd place but easily holds onto the YTD top spot at 13.8% share. Skoda ranks #10 in Turkiye in November. All time record broken for the Turkish new light vehicle market, with November sales up a splendid 9.8% year-on-year to 132,984. The year-to-date tally is also at record pace, up 10.2% to 1,176,780. This month Renault (+25.6%) posts a fantastic score and reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date with 11.9% share vs. 10.2% so far this year. Leader in October, Volkswagen (+11.8%) falls to #2 but still beats the market. Ford (+0.9%) is more discreet at #3, exchanging spots with a freefalling Fiat (-33.1%). The Renault 5 is up to a record 6th place in November. New car sales in Portugal edge up 0.4% year-on-year in November to 16,459 units, bringing the year-to-date tally up 7.7% to 204,160. This month Renault (+15%) is up two spots to lead the brands charts with 8.9% share vs. 7.4% year-to-date. This is the first time since March 2024 that the French carmaker is #1 in Portugal. Mercedes (+4.4%) stays at #2 with 8.4% share whereas Peugeot (-13.1%) is in difficulty at #3. The next four carmakers are also in negative, with Volkswagen (-29.4%) and Toyota (-12.7%) hit hardest. BMW (-1.1%) and Dacia (-7%) resit better but still drop year-on-year. In contrast BYD (+110.7%) and Opel (+84.3%) shoot up in the remainder of the Top 10. BYD hits a ranking record at #9 and delivers its third Top 10 finish in the past 4 months.
