Nepal Fiscal Year 2081/82: BEVs account for 73% of sales

The Tata Xpres-T is the best-selling vehicle in Nepal over the period. For the first time ever and thanks to one of our readers JFK we are able to share with you official sales data for Nepal. The period covered with the Nepali Fiscal Year 2081/82, which corresponds to mid-April 2024 to mid-April 2025. According to local press, BEVs account for a whopping 73% of the total Nepali market. The Chinese are omnipresent and two brands dominate the BEV market: Tata (+46%) overtaking BYD (+15.1%). MG comes in third ahead of Dongfeng with Changan Deepal (+99.4%) rounding out the Top 5. Omoda & Jaecoo (+102.3%) follows just 2 units below. Leaomotor, Xpeng, Zeekr and AvatR are also selling in the country.  Model-wise, the bet-seller is the Tata Xpres-T with almost 1,300 units. It is used as taxi. The BYD Dolphin is close behind, while the MG S5 EV closes the podium. It distances the BYD Atto 3 and Tata Punch EV. Greece October 2025: Opel Frontera breaks into Top 10

First Greek Top 10 finish for the Opel Frontera. Another outstanding month for new car sales in Greece, up 11.3% year-on-year in October to 10,763 units. This brings the year-to-date volume up 4.5% to 122,995. Toyota (+5.3%) remains ultra dominant at #1 with 17.3% share vs. 15.6% so far this year, this month distancing Peugeot (+17.5%) and Suzuki (+1.1%). Hyundai (+22.8%) drops one spot on September to #4 whereas Opel (+129.1%) is up four to #5. Dacia (+76.2%) is also in excellent shape at #6 and 5.3% share vs. #10 and 3.7% YTD, but the best performer is Citroen (+502.2%) up six-fold on a paltry year-ago result. Renault (+65.7%) also shines in the remainder of the Top 10. In the models charts, the Toyota Yaris Cross (+15.6%) easily retains the top spot ahead of the Peugeot 2008 (+21.4%) and Toyota C-HR (+38.3%). The Yaris (-8.2%) makes it three Toyotas in the Top 4 while the Suzuki Vitara (-4.5%) rounds out the Top 5 like last month and YTD. Very strong performances below by the Opel...

The Changan Deepal S05 is up to #13 in October. Excellent month for new light vehicle sales in Thailand with October figures up 10.6% year-on-year to 48,209. The year-to-date tally stands at 464,788. Strikingly, the Top 4 brands all go against the negative market with year-on-year losses. Toyota (-0.7%) resists best to 38.3% share, ahead of Mitsubishi (-2.1%) to 5.1%, Honda (-1.6%) to 11.6% and Isuzu (-15.3%) to 9.2%. After a few months above 10% share, even climbing to #2 and 11.9% share in June , BYD falls back to earth in October at #5 with 5.1% share, but is still up 81.6% year-on-year. MG (+60%) is also in outstanding shape at #6. Changan (+366.5%) and GAC Aion (+251.2%) do even better in the remainder of the Top 10. TANK (+2074.4%) repeats at #11 with 1.9% share vs.  #17 and 0.7% year-to-date. Volvo X70 PHEV (2,757 sales) Unlike many foreign carmakers, Volvo has managed to contain its losses so far in 2025 with sales down -3.2% to 106,179 over the first 10 months of the year. The XC70 PHEV logically slots between the XC60 and XC90 in the Swedish manufacturer’s lineup and it is planned for export to 70 markets.
