Albania August 2025: BYD places 6 models inside Top 10

The Sealion 7 is one of 6 BYD models in the Albanian August Top 10 Thanks to our local partner CE Auto we can share with you today exclusive data for Albania. August sales stand at 896 units with the year-to-date tally at 4,823. This month the BYD Song Plus ascends to the top spot with 9.2% share, the nameplate’s first win since we started following this market in March. The Song Plus ranks #2 year-to-date below the BYD Seagull, #1 last month and down to #4 in August. The Skoda Octavia and Kia Sportage round out the podium with 7.1% and 6.8% of the market respectively. BYD places an additional four models inside the Top 10: add the Sealion 7, Yuan Plus, Yuan Up and Song. Serbia August 2025: Skoda Kamiq signs first ever win

The Skoda Kamiq is the most popular vehicle in Serbia for the first time. Based on data by our Central European partner CE Auto , the Serbian new car market falls -8.1% year-on-year in August to 2,613 sales, prompting a year-to-date tally up 4.5% to 25,105 units. This month the Skoda Kamiq (+94.2%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year to grab the pole position with 5.1% share. This is the Kamiq’s first ever win in Serbia, its previous best being #2 reached in June 2023, December 2023 and January 2024. It ranks #4 year-to-date, just like over the Full Year 2024. The Toyota Corolla (+33%) is back up to #2 and cements its YTD leadership above the Skoda Octavia (-41.9%) and Fabia (-22.8%). After breaking into the Top 10 for the first time last month, the MG ZS cracks the Top 5 at #5. Suzuki sells almost three times the amount of the #2 Toyota. After breaking records in 2024, the Mauritian new car market continues on its surge this year, with sales up 29.6% to 14,662 over the first 8 months of the year. Suzuki (+45.9%) tightens its grip on the brands charts at 27.2% share, almost three times more than the #2, Toyota (-1%) in difficulty at 9.9% share Kia (+49.2%) consolidates its third place with 8.3% of the market, with Mazda (+17.3%) and Mitsubishi (+28.9%) rounding out the Top 5 above a struggling Nissan (-22.6%). BMW (+10.5%) is the most popular non Asian brand at #7 overall but vastly trails the market while MG (+50.8%) and Mercedes (+32.3%) both shine. Below, GWM (+205.4%), BYD (+122%) and Perodua (+60.1%) stand out. Greece August 2025: Citroen (+207%), Opel (+107.8%) stand out in weak market

The Citroen C3 ranks at #3 in Greece in August. 8,191 new cars hit Greek roads in August, stable at +0.5% year-on-year. This is still a weak result given August 2024 was down -21.4% on the year prior. Year-to-date sales edge up 1.6% to 99,959. Toyota (-32.3%) easily holds onto the brands top spot with 15.6% and despite a ghastly year-on-year loss. Keep in mind the Japanese carmaker broke its Greek share record a year ago at 23.1%. Citroen (+207%) delivers the performance of the month and surges 14 spots on July to a fantastic 2nd place with 7.5% share vs. 4.9% year-to-date. Just below is Hyundai (+3.4%) followed by a struggling Peugeot (-16.2%). In contrast Opel (+107.8%), Dacia (+103.3%), BMW (+64.3%) and Renault (+56.4%) all impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Cyprus August 2025: Hyundai Tucson leads, Renault Arkana up to #5

The Hyundai Tucson is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in August. According to data shared with us by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT , the Cypriot new car market drops a harsh -12.2% to just 713 sales, leading to a year-to-date tally off -5.4% to 10,371. This month Hyundai (+2.2%) storms into pole position with 12.9% share vs. 9.2% so far this year. As a result is climbs two spots on the YTD ladder to #2. Toyota (-15.9%) is in difficulty but repeats at #2 ahead of a surging Nissan (+109.4%) up two spots on July to #3. Still by far #1 year-to-date, Kia (-75.2%) implodes to #4 but also suffers a particularly high year-ago basis as it reached a huge 26.8% share in August 2024 . BMW (+91.7%) also stuns at #5 with a strong 6.5% share. Other great performers include Renault (+152.9%), Jeep (+135.7%) and Dacia (+115.4%). South Korea August 2025: Hyundai Avante and Tesla Model Y on top, Kia PV5 lands

The Kia PV5 has landed in its home charts. The South Korean new light vehicle market edges up 1% year-on-year in August to 138,408 units, that includes 111,109 for domestic manufacturers (-3.2%) and 27,299 for foreigners (+22.6%). The year-to-date tally is now up 3.2% to 1,100,839 including 908,543 locals (+1.3%) and 192,296 foreigners (+13.2%). Hyundai (+2.6%) easily holds onto the brands top spot with 35.4% share, distancing its sister brand Kia (-6.8%) at 31.6%. Genesis (-29.6%) is in trouble and below the 10,000 sales mark for the third time in the past 4 months. Tesla (+261.1%) roars ahead to #4, breaking its volume (7,974) and share (5.8%) records. BMW (+9.8%) follows ahead of Mercedes (-18%). KG Mobility (+2.8%) stays at #7 and Renault Korea (+186.5%) at #8.
